The Department of Psychiatry at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support for the Research Mission. In this role, you will focus on scheduling mission activities, ensuring scheduled events run smoothly, and communicating with mission staff and faculty. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks received from multiple people and to determine the order of importance to meet a variety of deadlines. Discretion and good judgment in daily work is a must. A successful candidate helps maintain an inclusive, transparent and supportive work environment while displaying a positive attitude. Experience with University of Utah Health processes is a plus. On a daily basis, this position will interact with mission leadership, staff and faculty, and provide administrative expertise and support. Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in business or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and three years full-time secretarial experience required. Demonstrated human relations and effective written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and direct supervisory experience preferred. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
