Aimbridge Corporate - Cafe General Manager-Chef Address: 5301 Headquarters Drive, Plano, TX, 75024 Job Description As the Café General Manager & Chef, you will play a vital role by directing and supervising food preparation across all food outlets at Aimbridge Headquarters. You will ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and handling while maintaining operational standards. You will also support the café's financial goals by managing daily operations of the restaurant and other Food & Beverage and Catering departments, ensuring guest satisfaction, revenue, and profitability. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to fulfill their responsibilities. Exempt managers must regularly direct at least 3 full-time associates or their equivalents. Primary duties should be more than 50% administrative, executive, or professional tasks, involving discretion and independent judgment. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in Food and Beverage. 5+ years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage or a Culinary Degree with at least 3 years in hotel Food & Beverage or similar industry. Friendly, customer-centric, with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in menu creation and planning for various outlets and events. Ability to expedite peak periods with a hands-on approach. Experience managing food costs, requisitions, and waste controls. Monitoring food outlets for quality, creativity, cleanliness, and safety. Responsibilities Ensure timely setup, proper staffing, and uniformity of staff. Assist with food and beverage services for events, coordinating with hotel departments. Work closely with staff to ensure smooth operations and service quality. Communicate financial information, including budgets and revenue strategies. Achieve revenue targets, control costs, and maximize profitability. Inspect outlets daily for quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Train staff according to Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Manage staffing levels and labor costs efficiently. Participate in inventories and implement loss reduction programs. Recruit staff using company standards and conduct team meetings. Develop and implement promotional ideas for Food & Beverage. Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
