CAD Designer

A family-owned manufacturer with over 100 years in the manufacturing business is seeking a Hybrid   CAD Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be able to interact effectively with customers, handle customer complaints, and negotiate effectively. They will also work collaboratively in a team environment, multitask, manage time effectively, and adhere to strict timelines. This role requires a self-starter who is proactive and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Work with customers to determine their needs and prepare quotes for new and existing products
• Create designs using 3D CAD skills, specifically AutoCAD
• Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, or Engineering departments to modify existing products or develop new products
• Support continuous improvement activities
• Attend meetings and communicate effectively with team members or customers
• Manage customer relationships and negotiate effectively

Qualifications:

• Experience preparing and proposing bids/estimates
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EPICOR
• Understanding of freight and logistics processes
• Attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks
