Contract / Full and Part-time
Job Description : As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Wee Care Corporation, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy services to our clients. Working closely with Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals, you will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to help clients regain and maintain their independence in daily activities. Our therapists provide services to the people we support in their own homes. They collaborate with other therapists, the family, and the direct support providers to ensure the team is working together to support the individual in their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in client assessments under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
Implement therapeutic interventions and activities as outlined in the individualized treatment plan.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide coordinated care.
Support clients in developing and practicing adaptive techniques.
Document client progress and communicate effectively with the therapy team.
Provide assistance with the selection and use of adaptive equipment.
Collaborate with Supervisors and other therapists involved with the member's case.
Educate and train parents and caregivers on how to support individuals with their goals at home and in the community.
Effectively communicate with clients, families, supervisors, etc.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Current state licensure.
Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a collaborative environment.
2 years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (preferred but not required for entry-level positions).
Familiarity with various occupational therapy interventions and techniques.
Possess or be able to obtain a Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to travel to members' homes or community locations to provide ongoing treatment based on the members Certified Plan of Care
