What You'll Do

In this role, will develop a holistic data ecosystem to make it easy for our data asset teams and our data enterprise teams to quickly develop and deliver new insights to our clients and our firm.  

You will be a highly capable strategic architect, able to design and systematically put in place the building blocks of a cohesive data strategy, architecture, and governance necessary to support our bold ambitions for the firm and our clients. 

You will serve as an advisor and thought partner to Cell leadership; including key questions to address, assets to develop, data source needs, data domains to manage, and resource needs; partner with Cells on Asset Lifecycle discussions to support and provide feedback on new assets in development. 

You will drive and tailor adoption of data strategy, standards, governance, and culture program; shape approach in a manner that is sensitive to organizational dynamics and culture. 

You will develop and implement data practices to maintain overall data privacy and mitigate risk across the firm globally; partner with Risk management function to ensure Risk policies are embedded into data asset builds, including client data collection for benchmarks, and 3rd party data risk. 

You will act as community leader for Cell CDOs across the firm and serve as convener on cross-cell activities, including data sharing (technical and economic models) joint asset development, people models, and KPIs. 

Qualifications

• 20+ years in hands-on technology leadership roles managing world class technology and data teams 
• Team Leadership- experience leading a data team (either as a global CDO, or as her/his/their #2 executive); demonstrated capability of developing and building a world class technology function for a company that is recognized as an innovator that has put technology prowess at the center of its competitive value proposition
• Experience leading teams of 100+ people and working with senior leadership
• Experienced, internationally recognized technology thought leader with the background, demonstrable presence, and interpersonal skills sufficient to influence at all levels of the firm
• Able to align data initiatives with the firm’s business strategy and have a track record of driving data-driven programs that deliver measurable business value
• Experience supporting the demands of a complex business with demanding and technically sophisticated stakeholders, which spans at least two continents
