About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Policy and Program Officer (CPPO) to lead its strategic efforts in reshaping public education. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and advancing evidence-based policy solutions that have a transformative impact on the education system, particularly for underserved students. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of school systems, a strong passion for state policy, and a proven track record in policy reform. The CPPO will be at the forefront of identifying and implementing the most compelling statewide solutions, driving legislative strategies, and ensuring the effective implementation of policies in schools and classrooms.
Key responsibilities for the CPPO include leading the organization's policy strategy, managing a portfolio of significant issues, and building strategic partnerships to advocate for systemic change. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years' experience in education leadership, policy, research, or advocacy, with a focus on evidence-based practices. They should be adept at coalition building, and collective action, and leading a high-performing team. The role demands a strategic, hands-on leader who can balance the big picture with attention to detail, and who is passionate about making a difference in public education. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree being a plus, and a strong commitment to the values of equity and opportunity in education is essential. Hiring Manager Title
