Direct message the job poster from Rooted Coffee Coffee Shop General Manager (Full-Time | Starts August 2025) Location: Tempe, AZ (In-Person) Walking distance from ASU About the Role: Rooted Coffee is launching this summer in the heart of Tempe, and we’re looking for a driven, creative, and reliable General Manager to take the reins. This is not your typical coffee shop job — you’ll be the heartbeat of the store, helping to shape everything from daily operations to culture and brand voice. This is a full-time, in-person role starting in August 2025 , with hiring happening in a few months. We’re posting now to begin finding the right fit early. The owner will be largely hands-off day-to-day — meaning you’ll be in full control of the shop’s operation with the freedom to run it like it’s your own. What You’ll Do: Oversee the full daily operations of the shop (front and back of house) Hire, train, and lead the entire team of baristas and shift leads Help shape the shop’s culture, vibe, and customer experience Manage inventory, ordering, vendor relationships, and scheduling Ensure the highest level of drink quality, cleanliness, and hospitality Collaborate with ownership on high-level goals and vision Act as the face of the brand in-store and on social when needed Who You Are: Experienced leader in coffee, food & beverage, or hospitality (2+ years preferred) Passionate about coffee, community, and creating a space people love Responsible, proactive, and cool under pressure Great with people — customers and team alike Willingness to learn and collaborate with owner Able to manage systems and operations with minimal oversight Comfortable with startup energy — things move fast, and you help steer the ship Full-time salary (to be finalized closer to start) Free coffee (obviously) Health & Wellness Reimbursement Monthly wellness perk (massage/pedicure) Unlimited PTO (we trust you) Annual team trip Performance-based bonuses Tons of creative freedom and influence Additional Notes: This is a pre-hiring post.
