Job Description

Provide comprehensive legal support to various functions within the company, including contract negotiation, risk management, and business development. Advise on applicable laws, legal documents, and corporate matters to foster business growth, mitigate legal risks, and ensure compliance. This role reports directly to theGeneral Counsel.

Job Responsibilities include but arenot imited to:

  • Negotiate, draft, and oversee the execution of a variety of legal agreements, including master service agreements, purchase/sale terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, bailment agreements, contractor agreements, leases, and licenses.
  • Provide timely and sound legal advice to different business units and departments within the organization.
  • Conduct research and advise on contract status, legal risks, and liabilities associated with ongoing or upcoming projects and commercial transactions.
  • Proactively identify and address potential legal risks to safeguard the company’s interests.
  • Manage litigation matters including receivables collection, warranty claims and other commercial disputes.
  • Analyze U.S. sanctions, antidumping, and countervailing duties, and provide strategic guidance on compliance and risks related to such matters.
  • Support the management and protection of the company’s intellectual property and patent portfolio.
  • Engage in business development efforts, including new sales tenders, company initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and technological advancements.
  • Draft corporate resolutions and related documentation as required.
  • Use legal expertise and judgment to plan, manage, and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
  • Perform additional legal, administrative and other tasks as requested.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, and admission to a recognized

U.S. state bar.

Experience :

• 2-5+ years of experience in corporate law, preferably within the oil and gas industry, either in a law firm or in-house capacity.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Exercise creativity, independence, and critical thinking in tackling complex legal challenges.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across various legal and business units within the organization.
  • Expertise in negotiating legal and commercial terms, with the ability to balance both legal and financial considerations.
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Solid understanding of the oilfield services industry, including its business practices, regulations and operational procedures.
  • Highly results-driven, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and achieving objectives.
  • Strong ethical standards, with a commitment to integrity and confidentiality.•
  • Proficiency in relevant legal software and office productivity tools.
