Job Description

Experimentation is the foundation of Chemistry’s culture because Dull is Dangerous. As a creative-led independent full-service advertising agency, we blow up boring every day. We have four strategically placed offices and talent across the U.S. taking risks and overcoming challenges. We’re always asking What if? and What next? We win all the creative and Agency of the Year awards, but we’re most proud of our number #6 ranking on the A-list. We have about 180 folks across agency disciplines from the best shops around the globe and a growing list of incredible clients. Join us to do your best work and live your best life.

BE THE CHANGE.

Studies have shown that marginalized communities such as women, LGBTQ+, and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. However you identify, and whatever background you bring with you, please apply if this is a role that would make you excited to come to work every day. At Chemistry, we believe that diverse teams are multipliers.

LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE.

How can we expect you to do your best work if you’re not living your best life? We can’t. Come to Chemistry and take advantage of… Generous PTO, because recharging fuels creativity. Comprehensive wellness benefits, because peace of mind (and body) matters! Donation Matching, give back, and we’ll double down. Growth and Development Opportunities, keep learning, keep growing. Retirement Savings, your future self will thank you. Paid Parent Leave, family first, always.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR ART DIRECTOR

OVERVIEW

Guide and sell great work that pushes clients’ business. Your job is to make your clients, and your teams, famous for doing great work. You do this by working tightly with strategy, account and media to create smart and culturally relevant briefs with a real truth, that set your teams up for success. You still create work yourself, which is expected and needed. But the real rewards come from helping your teams develop their skills and their work. You’re great at helping people make their work clearer, stronger, and better. You know that selling their idea is a bigger success for you than selling your own. You have the kind of relationship with the client where they could call you, or vice versa. You have an amazingly positive attitude and find ways to do great creative even in tough situations. When it comes to production, you are a pro who can handle shoots and edits solo. You know how and when to involve your GCD, ECD and CCO to incorporate their feedback at the right moment. Everyone wants you on their business, and other creatives look to you for advice and direction. You’re the ultimate team player across the agency.
