This is a hybrid role in the San Francisco Bay Area in Emeryville, with 2-3 days in the office.

Were looking for a CTO who will lead and manage our engineering team, setting the vision for technology while ensuring the engineering team executes the product roadmap. This is mainly a managerial role focused on product leadership and strategy. Your main priorities will be scaling the platform to maximize security, performance, and functionality while maintaining high standards for code quality, architecture, and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Define the technical roadmap and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee architecture, design, and implementation of our platform built on Angular (frontend), .NET/C# (backend), SQL, and related technologies.
  • Manage software development lifecycle using GitHub, Azure DevOps, and other tools to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and customer-facing teams to deliver solutions that meet business and customer needs.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of the platform as the company grows.
  • Recruit and retain top engineering talent, building a high-performing, motivated team.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of software engineering leadership experience in B2B SaaS companies.
  • Development experience in Angular, .NET/C#, SQL, and Azure.
  • Must have experience building AI into a SaaS product and using AI to optimize team productivity.
  • Proven experience building and maturing DevOps, infrastructure ops, SaaS ops, performance management, and security ops.
  • Strong experience building reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure maximizing security, performance, and functionality.
  • Solid understanding of modern development practices, CI/CD, version control (Git), and DevOps workflows.
  • Experience managing teams of engineers, including mentoring, hiring, and performance management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels of client organizations.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize, multitask, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines, and wear multiple hats.
  • Excited to work in a startup environment; you have a track record of being adaptable to changing priorities in a fluid, high-growth environment.
