As our Cybersecurity, Compliance & Risk Consultant, you'll be instrumental in guiding clients through the intricate world of cybersecurity and compliance. You'll leverage your in-depth understanding of well-established standards like NIST, ISO, PCI, HIPAA, SOC, and CMMI to assess their current posture, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend effective solutions.
Here's what you'll do:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' processes, policies, procedures, systems, and overall approach to compliance and cybersecurity.
Benchmark client practices against leading industry standards like NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ISO27001:2022, PCI, HIPAA, SOC 1, SOC 2, RMF, NIST CSF, CMMC, and more.
Develop practical and actionable recommendations tailored to each client's unique needs and risk profile.
Communicate complex security and compliance concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences through clear, concise, and engaging communication.
Stay current on evolving threats, regulations, and best practices, continuously expanding your knowledge base.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Manage assigned client engagements independently and proactively, demonstrating exceptional ownership and initiative.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity compliance and risk management.
Proven ability to effectively evaluate and assess security postures against recognized standards.
Strong understanding of relevant cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, PCI, HIPAA, SOC, RMF, NIST CSF, CMMC, and others).
Required: CISM, CISA, or Security+ CE certification.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Self-motivated and independent, with a proactive work style.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed (most work remote).
Preferred: CISSP certification, ITIL4, AWS Security
CERTIFICICATION: CMMC RP (Registered Practitioner) or RPA (Registered Practitioner Advanced) certification
CONTRACT DURATION: 6 Months Temp to Hire
WORK LOCATION (Telecommuting?): Cleveland, OH (1-2 days onsite) plus %50 Travel July and August
