Responsibilities
- Spend more than 50% of workday/week away from the office prospecting new sales leads by identifying, developing, and maintaining professional relationships with key clients and associations.
- Identify and seek out potential business in the local market. Maintain relationships with local companies and key contacts to increase the hotel’s visibility.
- Focus prime selling time (10am – 3pm) on direct sales efforts only.
- Create and manage sales solicitations and presentations specific to assigned properties/brands.
- Negotiate all aspects of the sales contract to maximize profitability while meeting client expectations.
- Maintain positive STAR report numbers in occupancy, average daily rate, and RevPAR.
- Assist in developing property budgets and forecasts, operating within them.
- Develop and maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive sales strategies.
- Achieve budgeted revenue goals consistently using provided training, tools, and procedures.
- Call on potential customers regularly; make in-person visits at least three days per week following company procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of hospitality sales and/or management experience.
- Ability to organize multiple projects, manage and prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience at properties of similar size and quality.
