We are hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for our Forensic Assertive Community Treatment Team in Asheville. Responsible for managing psychotropic medications for justice involved individuals on an ACT Team. Duties include initial Psychiatric Evaluation of client and subsequent follow up visits for medication evaluation and management. This position is an integral part of the team and would work in collaboration with not only other RHA staff but health care professionals in the community. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and listener, certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, with experience working with the population supported. Must be certified at the national level by American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, familiar with standards of practice and NC Medicaid Board as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably with 3 years experience in behavioral health care. The Nurse Practitioner must complete a minimum of twenty (20) hours of training specific to the required components of the service definition including crisis response within the first 90 days of employment. Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance coverage required.
