• Reviewing and verifying expenses to ensure alignment with grant guidelines and funding restrictions.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes through reconciliations, accruals, and detailed grant schedules.
• Assisting auditors by providing requested documentation and explanations of grant activity.

• Contributing to process improvements related to grant tracking, reporting tools, and documentation workflows.
• Assisting with new grant setup, grant closeouts, and special financial projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

• Knowledge of grant compliance requirements, including federal grant guidelines (e.g., Uniform Guidance), if applicable.
• Strong proficiency in accounting systems and Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations).
• Ability to interpret grant agreements and apply appropriate compliance principles.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and accuracy in financial work.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with both finance and program teams.
• Ability to manage multiple grants, prioritize tasks, and work independently with minimal oversight.
• Experience with process documentation or financial system improvements is a plus.
