Peraton is seeking a Graphic Artist . In this role, you will play a vital role in shaping the visual identity and storytelling behind one of the most important technology modernization efforts in U.S. history. You will design creative assets, visual communications, and interactive media that help communicate the mission, innovation, and impact of the BNATCS program to FAA stakeholders, partners, and the public. Develop and design engaging visual content and layouts for reports, presentations, websites, social media, and multimedia communications supporting FAA initiatives.
Conceptualize and create original visual solutions for complex technical and communication projects, ensuring alignment with FAA and Peraton branding standards.
Design graphics, illustrations, and infographics that translate technical concepts into clear, compelling visual narratives.
Prepare art and copy layouts for both print and digital media, including brochures, newsletters, posters, web graphics, and internal communications materials.
Use color, typography, photography, animation, and illustration to effectively convey messages and enhance understanding of BNATCS initiatives.
Create technical and non-technical illustrations using perspective, isometric, orthographic, and schematic techniques for use in reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
Develop material for web pages, interactive media, and digital campaigns that highlight FAA modernization achievements.
Collaborate with communication strategists, content developers, engineers, and subject matter experts to align visual design with strategic goals.
Support brand consistency and maintain design templates and guidelines for FAA BNATCS deliverables.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality design standards.
Stay current on design trends, technologies, and tools to continually improve creative output and production efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
3–7 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a corporate, government, or technology environment.
Proficiency with design and illustration software, including Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, XD).
Strong understanding of layout, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy.
Experience producing print, web, and multimedia designs.
Ability to visualize complex technical concepts and create clear, audience-appropriate visuals.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting FAA, DOT, or other federal government programs.
Familiarity with aviation, transportation, or technology-based communications.
Experience with motion graphics, animation, or video editing.
Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility and federal visual communication standards.
Experience developing interactive or data-driven visualizations.

Target Salary Range: $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
