Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation as directed by a physician. You will establish tailored physical therapy goals, administer treatments, and continually assess patient progress, along with accurately documenting all findings.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patient needs and create personalized treatment plans.
  • Administer safe and effective therapy while ensuring proper documentation of all interventions.
  • Regularly reassess and modify treatment plans to reflect patient progress.
  • Provide clear and concise documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and post-treatment care to promote long-term recovery.
  • Operate therapy equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, peers, and interdisciplinary teams for continuity and quality of patient care.
  • Demonstrate competencies tailored to the needs of diverse patient populations.
  • Maintain compliance with facility policies on safety, infection control, and risk management.
  • Adapt professionally to changes and resolve issues impacting patient care through appropriate channels.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
  • Adhere to all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and safety standards.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and create effective treatment plans.
  • Proficient in using therapy equipment and technology for documentation and billing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to professional growth and adherence to ethical and legal standards.

Licenses and Certifications

  • PT - Physical Therapist license in the state of employment is required.
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire is required.
