Kforce has a client in Nashville, TN that is seeking a Jira Migration Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the migration of data from existing vendor JIRA's instance to our JIRA instance (on prem or cloud) ensuring data integrity
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the current JIRA environment, including configurations, customizations, workflows, and integrations
- Develop a detailed migration plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource requirements
- Coordinate with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, define success criteria, and communicate the migration plan and timeline
- Work closely with the technical team to prepare the new JIRA environment (cloud), configure settings, and perform necessary upgrades or patches
- Develop and execute data migration scripts and procedures to transfer JIRA projects, issues, attachments, and other data to the new platform
- Test the migrated data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, resolving any issues or discrepancies as needed
- Provide training and support to end-users on the new JIRA platform, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to their workflows
- Document the migration process, including configurations, scripts, and best practices, for future reference and knowledge sharing
- Monitor the migration process, track progress against the plan, and proactively address any issues or risks that may arise
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors as needed to ensure the successful completion of the migration project
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders and project sponsors to provide updates on the migration progress, address concerns, and manage expectations
