BCForward is currently looking for Laboratory Technician (CTVAJP00007274) located at Indianapolis, IN 46268

Position Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46268
Expected Duration: 12 months.
Estimated Start Date: 5/20/2024.
Pay Rate: $24/hr.
Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm 40 hours M-F

Job Description:

With guidance from supervision, assists technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research. Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.

• Under the general direction of the management, the incumbent aids in the development of agricultural products through helping to maintain core lab functions.

Key responsibilities

• Under the direction and guidance of the study director, maintain GLP instrumentation to ensure compliant data collection.
• Maintain liquid and solid waste. This includes special C-14 radiolabel waste procedures.
• Serve as combustion analyst and ensure that data are being generated, documented in a manner consistent with SOPs, GLP requirements, and the study plan.
• Responsible for compliance with laboratory safety procedures, Good Laboratory Practices, and other regulatory requirements.
• Supports daily operations of the analytical laboratories by maintaining the instrumentation.
• Exercise appropriate safety behaviors to minimize risk to themselves and to ensure the integrity of the study.
