About the Role:

The Laundry Attendant at Springhill Suites Phoenix/Avondale plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments for our guests. This position ensures that all laundry is processed efficiently and meets the high standards of quality expected in the hospitality industry. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for operating laundry equipment, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering clean items to various departments. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines are essential to provide a pleasant experience for our guests. Ultimately, the Laundry Attendant contributes significantly to the overall guest satisfaction and operational success of the hotel.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment and processes.
• Basic knowledge of fabric care and stain removal techniques.
• Customer service experience in a hospitality setting.

Responsibilities:

• Sort and categorize laundry items based on color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements.
• Operate washing machines and dryers, ensuring proper settings and maintenance of equipment.
• Fold and organize clean linens and garments for easy distribution to hotel departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including proper disposal of waste.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly.
