Job Description:

This role serves as the customer insight champion for a portfolio of SMB and Emerging Brands as well as supporting pre-sales efforts for CPG New Business in the SMB/Emerging Brands vertical. Critical for success in this role is the ability to proactively generate actionable insights and build strong relationships with all levels of the Emerging Brand(s) organization. An ability to quickly establish yourself as a strong insight partner to the clients will help you to drive measurable value. The ability to data mine and fine actionable insights to create new business campaigns; supporting growth efforts for our overall customer centric retail (CCR) team.

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations backed by a fact-base analysis
  • Serve as a thought partner for clients, leveraging customer and promotion insight
  • Coach SMB and Emerging Brands category management/support teams to use customer insight in their day-to-day engagements with key retail partner(s)
  • Understand the business needs and pain points of current and prospective clients to effectively position SymphonyAIs solutions and services.
  • Identify and close upsell opportunities for new and existing solutions across your portfolio of clients, as well as serve as a CPG New Business pre-sales lead in the SMB and Emerging Brands vertical.
  • Leverage Sales Enablement Technology, including CRM and Marketing tools, to communicate to targeted groups of prospects effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist the New Business Director with building and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, ensuring consistent progress through the sales cycle.
  • Strong client relationship management skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 5+ years in CPG industry, SMB/Emerging Brands support/pre-sales
  • Deep knowledge of data driven decision-making and leveraging customer insights in a CPG environment
  • Analytical curiosity along with excellent analytic skills
  • Proven experience proactively deriving insights from sales promotion data, loyalty data and/or customer insights
  • Strong client relationship management skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Aggressive self-starter, able to quickly adapt to changing environments
  • Willing to roll up sleeves to get the job done
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Competence in Excel is required
