About The Role The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) reports to our National Director of Field Medical. MSLs are field-based healthcare professionals who engage in compliant scientific exchange and provide comprehensive practice education on disease states, responding to inquiries related to our products. Key Responsibilities Manage key opinion leader (KOL) optometrists and ophthalmologists in designated regions, ensuring compliance with PhRMA and Tarsus guidelines. Serve as the primary medical affairs contact for KOLs, facilitating scientific exchanges both virtually and in person. Gather and prioritize actionable insights from field interactions to inform medical strategies. Provide educational resources to optometric and ophthalmic centers, as well as to optometry schools and residency programs. Assist in investigator-initiated trials and medical information procedures upon request. Identify and recommend KOLs for various projects based on expertise and interests. Plan and attend scientific meetings and engage with local medical societies. Present scientific evidence to payers and participate in medical projects and initiatives. Optimize training and field processes continually. Host scientific exchanges and labs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support clinical trials as needed. Manage territory budgets, metrics, KOL mapping, and CRM entries. Success Doctorate of optometry, MD, PharmD, PhD with eye care expertise. 3+ years in eye care as an MSL or clinical experience with industry exposure, or 7+ years clinical practice. Strong emotional intelligence, presentation, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and data analysis. Ability to work independently, influence peers, and manage a fast-paced workload. Additional Field-based role requiring 60-80% travel; residence within 45 minutes of a major airport preferred. Position reports to the National Director of Field Medical. 131,200 - $183,800 plus bonus, stock, and benefits. Benefits include health, dental, vision, paid time off, and more.
