Are you an Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering major with a passion for embedded systems, product design, and development? Join our Rapid City engineering team for a hands-on summer internship where you'll contribute to real-world projects focused on intelligent protection relay technologies
and electronic safety systems.


This internship offers a unique opportunity to explore multiple aspects of engineering design working alongside a team of cross discipline experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Learn and Do:

• Contribute to the design of components for electronic safety systems:
• Electrical Engineers: Design and layout printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
• Mechanical Engineers: Design enclosures and mechanical interfaces.
• Computer Engineers / Computer Scientists: Develop embedded firmware and software
tools.
• Test, validate, and troubleshoot prototypes and systems.
• Analyze test results and prepare technical documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and engineering discussions.
• Learn about the product development lifecycle, from concept through prototyping and validation.

About You:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer
engineering, computer science, with an expected graduation of 2027 or 2028.
• Demonstrated interest in hands-on design and development through coursework, personal
projects, other internships, or extracurriculars.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Available to work 40 hours per week during summer 2026.

Hourly Wage Range: $24-30/hour

The salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
