Job Summary

As our Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee and direct the financial operations of multiple client corporations with intermittent or part-time demands. Your role will involve the preparation of timely financial reports, summaries, and forecasts to support and anticipate clients' future growth trajectories. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders, driving strategic decision-making and financial planning.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy Development: Collaborate with clients to develop short-, mid-, and long-term financial strategies.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze and communicate market trends, competitive environments, and regulatory changes to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Strategic Support: Work with stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process and support actionable financial plans.
  • Forecasting and Metrics: Provide financial forecasts and develop operational metrics.
  • Accounting and Finance Management: Oversee strategic management of accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting and cash flow forecasting.
  • Policy Development: Develop accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Capital Optimization: Recommend improvements to ensure financial integrity and optimize capital management.
  • Executive Collaboration: Collaborate with executive leadership on strategy and risk management.
  • Hiring Assistance: Assist clients in hiring efforts.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other external stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience: 8-10 years in financial management, preferably in the agricultural industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and multiple ERP systems used in the agricultural sector.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and organizational skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the agricultural industry is strongly preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and forward-thinking to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Presentation Skills: Experience presenting financial analysis to various stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects successfully.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 40%.
