What Youll Be Doing
Were seeking a full-time Sign Language Interpreter to support students during the 20252026 school year. This role runs from August 11, 2025 through June 1, 2026 , Monday through Friday (7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week ). Youll be working in a 1:1 and classroom capacity , providing interpreting services that support student access to instruction and classroom communication.
Specific campus location(s) and grade levels are still being finalized , but the caseload will likely include at least some high school students , as several are transitioning between placements. You may also take on light paraeducator duties as needed to help support overall student access and engagement.
You're Likely a Fit If You Have
A high school diploma plus training in sign language and extensive experience as an interpreter
Eligibility to obtain a Virginia Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS) Level III , or an equivalent credential approved by the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing
If you currently hold VQAS Level II , youll have up to two years from your hire date to meet the Level III requirement (per VDOE guidelines)
Strong skills in both educational interpreting and classroom collaboration
The flexibility to work with various age groups and adapt to student needs

Whether working 1:1 with a student or supporting in a classroom environment, youll play a key role in helping students thrive across academic and social settings.
Pay & Position Highlights
Full-time | 37.5 hours/week
Contract Dates: August 11, 2025 June 1, 2026
Compensation: $32$42per hour , depending on certification and experience
Onsite position with support from ProCare Therapy
