Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dedicated Social Worker is needed to provide specialized support within a K-12 educational setting in Round Lake, IL. This contract role spans the current school year, with an immediate start date and concluding May 26, 2026. The position requires hands-on, on-site work and focuses on assisting students requiring targeted social services.

Responsibilities:

• Divide time effectively between the high school life skills class and the transition center, catering to students aged 18-22 who need additional support.
• Develop and implement individualized support plans that address students social, emotional, and developmental needs.
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to ensure holistic student well-being.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports as required by school policies and regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate student care and services.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate proof of degree.
• Demonstrable experience as a school social worker or related discipline in educational environments.
• Strong understanding of social work practices relevant to K-12 and transition-aged students.
• Ability to work effectively with students requiring life skills support and transition assistance.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Location and Schedule:

• On-site position based in Round Lake, Illinois.
• Full-time, 35 hours per week.
