About the role: We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Data Management team. This role focuses on the development, customization, and integration of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using Java.This person would maintain the highest data quality standards demanded by Gartner utilizing multiple state-of-the-art technologies in data engineering, data operations and data mastering in a cloud-based environment. What you will do: Design and implement custom Java components for data validation, enrichment, and transformation within MDM platforms. Develop and maintain Java-based services and APIs for master data CRUD operations and synchronization. Build and maintain Data Pipelines using SQL,Ataccama and AWS technologies like Glue and Python. Build and configure web services, Event Driven Architecture components. Utilize Master Data Management tools like Ataccama and in-house tools to ensure filtering, mastering, and data quality rules are appropriately enabled and adequately tested. Engage in day-to-day data operations involving troubleshooting data pipelines and monitoring and maintaining job schedules. Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to align technical and business requirements. Follow best practices and industry standards while implementing Data Engineering and Mastering functions What you will need: Strong IT professional with minimum 2 years of experience in cloud-based data engineering, preferably with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate and RESTful API development. The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required Proficiency in either Java programming Proficient in utilizing AWS services. Excellent SQL and data analytics skills – ability to look at complex stored procedures and troubleshoot performance issues. Experience in PostgreSQL or similar cloud-based DB Nice to have: Experience working with AWS Glue Experience with ETL processes and tools. Experience in Data Governance, Data Architecture, and Data Operations Good knowledge of cloud technology AWS, Azure, and exposure to cloud tools. Basic understanding of MDM fundamentals and domains.
