We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder with over 5 years of commercial or naval experience. Responsibilities include performing tack, fillet, and full penetration welding on steel foundations and structural and pipe joints. Utilize Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) techniques. Work on production projects for aircraft carriers and submarines.
Essential skills include 5+ years of experience as a first-class structural welder in a commercial or naval setting. Proficiency in SMAW and FCAW welding processes. Strong ability to work with steel foundations and structural and pipe joints.

The work environment is located in Southeast Virginia, within a vast shipyard that stretches over 5 miles. Employees will experience hot and muggy conditions during the summer and cooler temperatures in the winter. All work is performed on a Navy vessel or in a shop setting.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, Virginia. The pay range for this position is $30.00/hr.
