STG Design is looking for a Technical Interior Designer with five to seven years experience to join our Nashville office.**

STGs Nashville office is located in the historic Stahlman Building, directly across from the Public Square Park (home of the Live on the Green music festival) and only a few blocks from Broadway, where you can get your fill of Honky-Tonks and Hot Chicken.

We want people as remarkable as we are. Of course, STGs technical designers must be detail oriented. Youve got to understand how to keep your team on track, how to delegate tasks, and how to navigate the clients needs. But were also looking for people who are passionate about bringing out the best in a design, in finding the best way to tell the designs story to the GC and make sure the built environment matches the design intent. We want people who attack each new challenge with the knowledge that last weeks answer doesnt fit this weeks question. People who are always seeking to learn more and then apply what theyve learned to make those around them better.

One of our favorite things about this profession is the variety. Our routine is that there is no routine. On any given day you may (among other things):

Act as the team lead, providing day-to-day direction for the project staff.

Act as day-to-day client contact and have the most in-depth knowledge of all the projects facets.

Coordinate with consultants on design and their deliverables.

Ensure the team meets deadlines and delivers consistent high-quality documents.

Provide design and documentation support to the team as necessary.

We know that developing expertise is important, but cross-training helps us grow, too. At STG, youll likely work on a variety of project types. Weve had the chance to design a childrens museum, create Oracles office, reimagine a power plant, and change how Wilsonart recruits. Weve learned that what we discover on one project type helps us innovate on another.

* Tech savvy Revit, Adobe CC, Bluebeam are all musts. Sketchup, Lumion, Rhino, Dynamo would be great, too. Whats even better is if you can show us a tool we havent seen yet and teach us all how to be more efficient or effective.
