• Location: Little Rock, AR 72202 (Arkansas healthcare jobs)\n
• Unit: 4K Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (26 beds)\n
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse\n
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,100 - $2,250\n
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/22/2025 – End: 3/22/2026)\n
• Patient Ratio: 1:3-4 (no 1:1 assignments for travelers)\n
• Floating: Required to other pediatric units\n
• Orientation: 2-3 days with specialty testing\n
• EMR: Epic\n
• Dress Code: Facility policy\n
• Scheduling: Manager/scheduler assigned\n
• Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and holidays as needed\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in pediatric oncology or hematology/oncology\n
• BLS and PALS certifications required\n
• Biotherapy Provider and APHON certification preferred\n
• Bone Marrow Transplant experience preferred\n
• Must pass nicotine screening (negative test required)\n
• Must pass fit test (no facial hair unless for religious reasons)\n
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemption accepted with documentation)\n
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills\n
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations and effectively prioritize and delegate tasks\n

\n\nPediatric Oncology RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric hematology/oncology patients (ages 0-21)\n
• Administer IV medications, blood transfusions, antibiotics, stem cell infusions, and chemotherapy\n
• Monitor and manage patients with fever, neutropenia, solid tumors, sarcoma, leukemia, chronic pain, and new diagnoses\n
• Care for patients undergoing pediatric surgeries (e.g., resections, port placements)\n
• Collaborate with Child Life and Education Specialists to support patients’ educational needs\n
• Float to other pediatric units as needed\n
• Document care using Epic EMR and adhere to facility policies and procedures\n
• Participate in required orientation, specialty testing, and ongoing education\n
