Job Description
Volt has partnered with a top manufacturing plant in La Vergne, TN to help identify multiple Warehouse Workers to start immediately.
As a Warehouse Worker you will
- Oversee the unloading and storing of items.
- Ensure receiving items are stored and organized in appropriate areas.
- Inspect deliveries to ensure they match orde3r and invoice criteria.
- Ensure signing of bills of landing in accordance with company standards.
- Enter receiving data into the company warehouse management system
- Compare purchase orders to invoices and packaging lists.
- Update inventory with received items.
- Maintain records of orders, delivery details etc.
- Communicate with vendors regarding delays or problems.
- Assist in maintaining and updating carrier schedules and receiving data.
- Respond to receiving inquires internally and externally by phone daily.
Position is temp to hire. We are hiring for 1st shift, 7am - 3:30pm and 2nd shift, 4pm - 1:30am. OT required.
Requirements:
- 1 year of recent warehouse experience and proven job stability
- Ability to stand 8 hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs
- Computer literate
- Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks or scissor lifts preferred but not required.
- Be able to pass a 7 year criminal background (felony and misdemeanor) check and drug test
Pay Rate: $18.50-19/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
